Reverend Melissa Snyder

Reverend Melissa Snyder started her faith journey as a child raised in the Disciples of Christ denomination and began her ministry journey as a teen, leading Sunday School classes. Feeling God’s call to serve at the young age of sixteen, Rev Snyder pursued her education at Bethany College and Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. She was ordained within the WV Region in 2012. Following DoC internships in two Pennsylvania congregations, she first held a position of Youth Pastor with Oak Hill, WV United Methodist Church before entering a combined decade of Senior Pastor experience at Perryopolis First Chrisitan Church (DoC, Perryopolis, PA) and Richlands Christan Church (DoC, Richlands, VA).

“I try my best to serve the Lord faithfully and diligently. Like the passage that we read from the Book of Isaiah, “Then I heard a voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” I said, “Here am I; Send me!”

I feel that God is speaking to me to move forward in faith in Him and trust in His plan. We know that we will always be led to where He needs us to be. I have my faith and trust in God and what His plan is for my life. I trust that I will end up exactly where God needs me to be.”
